About Tomas

Tomas has been sailing since the late 1970s and has competed at the Swedish, European and World Championships in dinghy sailing with Sailstar — achieving results including a fourth place at the European Championships (2016), a tenth place at the World Championships in RS Aero (2017) and European Masters Champion in RS Aero 9 (2019).  Tomas is the founder of Sailstar, one of Sweden's most established sailing schools for adults, and is also the author of several of the country's most widely used sailing books. Since its founding in 2010, Sailstar has trained over 4,800 sailors — from beginner courses to advanced racing and long-distance sailing. With decades on the water and thousands of students behind him, Tomas knows exactly what it takes to learn to sail the right way — safely, effectively and with a genuine love of the sport.
